I get this pearly glow in a dreamy part of my psyche when I look at tail draggers. It's got to be the glow of the Golden Age of aviation when flying staggered the comprehension, and lifted the spirits with a laugh about how stupendous it all was.
I've got quite a few tail draggers in my hanger from a number of commercial and private developers. It's more than just flying low and slow that I like about these aircraft. They've got to be the prettiest aircraft too!
Here's a another of my favourite biplanes, the Golden Age Simulation's New Standard D25A in Waldo Wrights Flying Service colours.
This is another beautifull biplane from Golden Age Simulations, this time the Stearman Model 75 PT-17 which was used for pilot training extensively during WWII.
This is a good example of the excellent freeware aircraft available to simmers. It's the Waco UPF-7 by Tim Conrad (Piglet).
Lastly, I've got the gorgeous Gloster Gladiator by Icarus Gold which is not the tidiest aircraft, and tricky handling, but one which was a turning point in the history of aviation and worthy of a place in this list.
